We Care, We Support.

On the 27th of October 2012, the Rotaract Club of Kigali City hosted their partners in service; the members of the Rotaract Club of Mbarara Community Based in a community service project. Rotaractors from the two clubs participated in the country’s general cleaning policy commonly known as “Umuganda” and then visited patients at the Kibagabaga Main Hospital where they donated a number of items.

The Rotaract Club of Kigali City received massive support from the Rotary family in Kigali and this contributed towards the success of this project through financial, moral and physical support. The Rotary Clubs of Kigali-Virunga, Doyen Kigali, Mont-Jali Kigali, together with the Rotaract Clubs of SFB-Kigali and KIE are recognized in this for all the support and gracing us with their presence.

After the two activities, the Rotaractors’ visit was concluded by the sightseeing and fun around town. Among the other activities, host Rotaractors took the visiting Rotaractors around town during which they visited the country’s genocide memorial center. It was an awesome time having such a big group of service partners around.

The relationship and bond that were created by the Rotaractors from the two clubs will be maintained as the “Service Above Self” slogan continues to expand

  1. I am in the Sea Island Rotary Club in Beaufort, SC, USA. We may sponsor an international global grant for water wells in Rulenge, Tanzania. Kigali might be the closest Rotary Club to Rulenge. Are you interested in participating in this project?

    Thank you!
